Green Mountain Power Headquarters
This 25,000 square foot renovation uses the language of graphics to bring to life the “brand” and new identity of Vermont’s largest private electric utility. The company wanted to manifest its new flat and democratic organization and high tech operations with a new sense of community and unity across all its departments. A non-rectilinear, open and dynamic landscape was created using color, graphics, bold materials, natural light and a “village” plan for the office layout. After all the walls and ceilings were removed from the original building, new spaces were created as concentric circles radiating out from a cylindrical core containing the “village center”. This new geometry continued outside the existing building to make a new public entrance. |
