These paintings comprise my most recent work. I started the series by applying lines in paint with no particular ‘Big Idea’. As I work, whole worlds emerge into what I call “Linescapes” because they suggest horizon, sky and geological contours, which are all essentially described by lines in a landscape. This interest has led me to discover that I can create ‘abstract’ space whether compressed or stretched with the basic elements of line, color and shape.
