This Douglas Fir plywood table is actually two pieces of furniture: a dining table for 8 and a computer desk. When joined together, the two pieces form a dining table for 12. The top surfaces of the two pieces have a design in graphite applied by hand directly to the Fir.
The pieces are joined by a large tongue and groove design and held in place by three hardwood plugs.
The design is based on the Fibonacci number series: 0, 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, etc. The graphite bands are placed so that when the two pieces are joined the series starts from both ends of the table and overlap in the middle.
